Teaching artists skilled in evidence-based practices demonstrate the art of teaching in and through the arts. This module features photographer and mixed media artist Liz Faist, and circus artist and poet Jenny Hill.
Who Are You? Exploring Self-Portraits in Objects
This visual/ creative movement/ writing session invites participants to explore the question: who are you? Learners will use objects, play, writing, and photography in this exploration. They will be able to identify self-portraits and still lifes and understand the concepts of color, scale, and symbolism.
Artists: Liz Faist and Jenny Hill
Art Form: Still Life Self-Portraits
Materials: Paper, writing utensil, and a household object
This program can be practiced in any open space.

Liz Faist is a photographer and mixed media artist from Northeast Pennsylvania. Jenny Hill is a published poet and multi-disciplinary artist who works in circus arts (multi-hoop performance and clowning) and movement theatre.
